The aim of this paper is to explain how the new theory of vector trigonometry which uses rotor coordinates instead of polar coordinates gives us new relations for quadrilaterals, and how these can be applied to the classical four bar linkages of kinematics.

Keywords: Rational trigonometry, vector trigonometry, half-slope, four bar linkage, quadrilateral.
