On Curvature Properties of Medial Axes in E3

Here aspects of the geometry of the symmetric axis ( = medial axis), which is a subset of Voronoi diagrams, in the Euclidean three-space E3 are discussed. A relation between the symmetric axis curvature on the one hand and the radius curvature and the boundary curvature on the other is derived.
