We consider the problem of representation of Baire first class functions on compact sets in the complex plane $\mathbb C$ by pointwise convergent sequences of rational functions and prove a localization theorem. Keywords: Rational functions, polynomials, localization theorem, compact set. MSC 2000: 30E10. [FullText-pdf (168 K)] [FullText-ps (220 K)]
